B-G-R

Hi! 

The topic I'm about to share is on B-G-R. I believe most of us known this term as "Boys & Girls Relationship". And I also believe that there are few churches or communities group whom ever share/discuss about this topic. It is quite a well known seminar held between the churches, especially in youth ministries. 

BGR - Indeed it stands for Boys & Girls Relationship. Most of youngster nowadays easily fall into temptations and easily get influenced by most of the negative acts. Even those who always seen in the church did the same thing. I'm not literally pointing any, but please agree with me that it really happens. Youngsters are the one that we really need to focus more, cos they are moving towards adulthood. It is common to hear they started to do cigarette, do drugs, some may started to steal, escape from school, etc.. or worst, they might commit adultery. If you think that it is "common", you are so wrong. When you know it happens, it is time for you to do something; not by spreading up the gossip around for sure. These youngster need help.  

Mungkin agak sukar untuk memahami cara pemikiran mereka, tetapi saya percaya anda juga pernah melalui fasa yang sama. Cuba fikirkan cara yang berkesan untuk mengalih perhatian mereka. Kita memang tidak tahu apa yang mereka lalui. Mungkin mereke berkelakuan sedemian akibat daripada hubungan keluarga yang tidak baik? Mungkin kerna mereka rasa tersisih? Mungkin kerna mereka mengalami masalah tertentu? Mungkin kerna mereka pernah mengalami kepahitan hidup? Inilah peluang anda untuk mendekati mereka.

Jangan ego! Jangan mementingkan diri sendiri. Jika anda rasa mereka berdosa kerna melakukan hal-hal atau perbuatan yang tidak baik, apakah anda juga sudah menyelidiki diri anda sendiri? Ingatlah bahwa Tuhan Yesus sendiri juga telah berkumpul dan duduk bersama orang-orang berdosa. Bahkan Dia disalibkan di antara orang-orang yang berdosa. Yesus menempatkan anda di kalangan mereka yang tidak mengenal Dia kerna Dia ingin memakai anda sebagai alat untuk menginjil dan membawa khabar baik. 

Berikut ialah antara renungan yang saya kongsikan dalam laman Facebook saya. Yesus menempatkan anda di sesuatu tempat bukan secara kebetulan, tetapi Dia sudah merencanakan sesuatu yang baik untuk anda. Yakinlah dan percayalah bahwa rencana Tuhan itu sungguh indah. 

God created everyone of us with and for purpose. When you think you fail, don't quit cos that's not the end. He put you into something and He will be there throughout the tests. He has prepared great things for you, He just needs you to keep the faith and believe in Him. 

I) Romans 8:28 - And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

When we talk about His great purpose, some may keep questioning and wonder what might comes next. Here's the problem of the believers; "they just don't believe enough".

II) Jeremiah 29:11 - For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Do not think that you are walking alone. In everything that you do, pray that He will give you wisdom. Be courage and still. He has promised not to leave nor forsake you. He is the only way, the truth.

III) Psalm 32:8 - I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.

Bicara mengenai B-G-R, jika anda sudah seringkali mendengar tentang "Boys & Girls Relationship", pernahkah anda berfikir bahwa B-G-R juga adalah "Building God's Relationship"?

Banyak orang yang sanggup murtad, bertukar agama hanya atas dasar "cinta" yang mereka fahami dan nikmati. Mereka lupa atau tidak pernah sekalipun berfikir apa yang akan terjadi kemudian. To feel and to stay in the same love, you have to think about the consequences, about the long term! When you are falling in love, I cannot deny that it is one of the most wonderful feeling. But when you did something wrong, you step into the wrong way and direct into the wrong direction, you are in serious danger, and there you have to be very careful. Your partner might tell you, "I promise will love you forever", "I promise will never leave you", "I will be there for you no matter what". Wow! I would be happy if my partner telling me the same thing. But will that partner going to stay with you for the rest of your life? In my life, I admit that I ever took wrong move. Instead of regretting it, I am grateful that I came to realize and finally moving into the right direction. It is a thing that I use to remind myself of how cruel the world can be if you do not stand firm in your faith and believe on your own understanding. 

I am forever grateful having my partner now, happily married to him. I ever had my previous relationship which I thought it could work, and I was working on my understanding trying to prove that I am making the right decision. But I ended up hitting myself and wasted my time crying. When I turn to God, that's where He started to use me and I am using all I have to serve Him. To cut short the story; I found my husband in the ministry. How great is our God. And until today, we are building God's relationship and always stand firm in Him. 

Here's about the boys & girls, when they started to go on their own ways, tap their hidden talents. I had a conversation with a new friend, Ms Vivien, last Sunday after the youth service. We were talking about their youth ministry. It doesn't happen only in their church, but I believe it happens in almost all churches where it is quite a challenge to gather the youth together in service. One of the factor that they do not want to join is that, they feel bored when it comes to sermon. So, here we have to think of something that might attract their interest. Perhaps in dancing, musics, games, outdoor activities, etc... But also remember to be friendly and look pleasant to them. Be sociable. You cannot expect a group of people will come at the same time. It will start from 1 and when others see all the good thing is happening, they will start to come and join in. (Matthew 18:20) Next, you will have to play your role. Guide them, motivate them, encourage them. They will easily slip away if you do not keep on guiding them. And that is where you have to start building God's relationship! 

I do not mean building God's relationship as in "couple" way, but as a group, as a team, as a family. When you started to put God in everything, there He will works on His own ways and ready to be amaze by His wonderful grace!

“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."
