The value of 7-Cs

Shalom readers! What I'm about to share is the value of "7-Cs". I re-write this in my blog which I got from a book I read, from an author name Vicki J. Kuyper. And the best part of it is that the Bible references are all taken out from the book of Psalm.

Here it goes... Happy reading!

01) CHALLENGE
During a track and field event, it isn't uncommon to see an athlete trip over one of the hurdles and tumble to the ground. What brings the crowd to its feet is when the runner gets back up. Challenge involves risk, in sports and in life. Don't be afraid of trying difficult things. Whether you succeed or fail, God promises to renew your strength and purpose. You may not understand how, but you can be certain He's able.

Some mornings you wake up with the knowledge that a challenging day is ahead of you. Other times, difficulty catches you by surprise. Whatever challenge enters your life, remind yourself that the Lord is near. Not only will God help you meet each challenge head-on, but He will use each one to help you grow. Look for God's hand at work in your life, helping you achieve what may seem impossible.

Psalm 147:5-6 - Our Lord is great, with limitless strength; we'll never comprehend what he knows and does. God puts the fallen on their feet again.

Psalm 145:18 - The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.

02) CHARACTER
Some women spend a great amount of time trying to look beautiful on the outside, while paying little attention to what's on the inside. God's words and His Spirit can help reveal the true you, from the inside out. Ask God where your character needs some touching up - or perhaps a total makeover. See if your thoughts, your words, and your actions line up with the woman you'd like to see smiling back at you in the mirror each morning.

Not everyone will understand the unseen story behind what you say and do. There will be times when you're misunderstood, slandered, or even rejected. This is when your true character shines through. How you respond to adversity and unfair accusations says a lot about you and the God you serve. Ask God to help you address any blind spots you may have about your own character. Treat your critics with respects. Then move ahead with both confidence and humility.

Psalm 26:2 - Test my thoughts and find out what I am like.

Psalm 17:2 - Only you can say that I am innocent, because only your eyes can see the truth.

JESUS IS THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE

Jesus is the most important Man, not just in our nation, not just on planet earth, but in the entire universe! And He isn't important just for short terms, few years, but forever and ever and ever! Furthermore, the most important Man in the universe thinks I am so important, He gave His own life for me! How can I feel depressed by the smallness of my life when the most important Man in the universe died for me, rules over me now, and will one day return for me? In the eyes of the Lord Jesus Christ, I am important. My life has value.

No only does my life have value but in every way imaginable it is better with Jesus. He not only gives meaning and purpose to life, He gives direction and makes a difference in life. If you are depressed by the smallness of your life, you can find encouragement through Jesus! If you are defeated by life, you can find hope through Jesus. Jesus is our provider, our strength, our help when we struggle with sin, when we are inconsistent in commitment  when we stumble and fall, when we falter and fail, when we are tired and tempted.

He is the Saviour who has redeemed us, the Son of God who has freed us, the Shepherd who guides us, the Eternal King who loves us. He is the foundation on which we build our lives, the Rock on which we stand. His faithfulness is new every morning and fresh every evening. Eternity will not be enough time to thank Him for who He is and what He has done for you and for me.

CHANGE

But what the Lord has planned will stand forever. His thoughts never change.
- Psalm 33:11

Our God isn't wishy-washy. He doesn't experience bad hair days or mood swings, nor is He swayed by trends, fads, or peer-pressure. Our perfect, eternal God has no peer. From scripture we can tell that God experiences emotions like love, grief, and pleasure. However, He isn't driven by His emotions, as we sometimes are. That means we can trust God to be true to His promise. His plans, and His character-today, tomorrow, and always.

Change can be exciting. It can also be uncomfortable, unwanted, and at times even terrifying. If you're facing change and find yourself feeling anxious or confused, turn to the God of order and peace. He holds every twist and turn of your life in His hands. Try looking at change through God's eyes, as an opportunity for growth and an invitation to trust Him with your deepest hopes and fears.

I trust in you, O Lord; I say,"You are my God," my times are in your hands.
- Psalm 31:14-15

LET HIM BE THE SOURCES AND ENLARGES YOUR LIFE TO BE FRUITFUL

If you grow any fruits on your backyard, I believe not once have you ever seen one of those fruit trees struggling to bear fruit. In fact, I don't think those fruit trees ever even think about fruitfulness. Their fruitfulness totally depends on us to make sure they get the proper sunlight, water, fertilizer, and pruning.

Jesus taught His disciples about spiritual fruitfulness using a vine, a branch, a gardener, and fruit to illustrate His points.

"I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing". - John 15:5

For a branch to have fruit-bearing potential, it must be alive. Since it has no life of its own, it must be organically attached to the vine so that the sap, or life, of the vine flows up through the trunk and into the branch. The branches of a vine "abide" by just remaining connected to the vine. Permanently. Consistently. Day after day, week after week, year after year. They simply rest in their position, allowing the sap of the vine to flow freely through them. They exert no effort of their own. The fruit that is subsequently borne on the branch is actually produced by the life-giving sap within.

LEARNING HOW TO FORGIVE

Hello there readers, it's time to learn something huge and important. And everyone needs to have this - FORGIVENESS.

One of the biggest challenge you will face in your quest for a happier life is learning how to forgive. People mistakenly believe that if they forgive someone who has harmed them, they approve of the offensive behavior. But this is not so. If you forgive someone who steals from you, it means you accept the reality of the situation and want to move forward to better and more productive things.

Additionally, forgiving is not necessarily something you do for the benefit of someone who has wronged you. First and foremost, forgiving is a process that is for your own personal benefit. Walking around with anger and resentment is extremely unhealthy. Therefore, learning how to forgive is a way to lighten your load. Life is difficult enough. When you forgive someone who stole from you, you release the resentment toward the thief that unhealthily burdened you. This does not mean that you must forget the event. It simply means you set yourself free from the negative feelings associated with the person who wronged you.

DEVELOPING A SENSE OF PURPOSE

It is physically and emotionally healthy to develop a strong sense of purpose. The state of mind you have when absorbed in accomplishing a goal is an engaged, satisfied state. Those who have learned to develop a sense of purpose are the most likely to be happy and healthy.

Finding your purpose can be a daunting task, but it is possible. What are your strengths and talents? As youngster, each of us show an affinity for something. Did you excel at art or music? These are talents and skills that can be factored in when defining your overall direction in life. Setting small, attainable goals and working toward each of them in turn will help you achieve your ultimate purpose. The choices you make each day should always move you toward your goal. Educating yourself on how to realize your dream will help you define your goal more clearly.

Give your life direction by chipping away at a list of things you want to accomplish. There are lots of principles you can take to develop something you want to work toward; it will improve your self-esteem and contribute to your overall sense of happiness.

ADAKAH KAMU PERCAYA?

Shalom!
Mari kita terus mendalami Injil Tuhan..

(Matius 28:19-20)

Dia telah amanahkan kita dengan mesej yang sungguh besar. Seperti yang tertulis di dalam kitab;

B-G-R

Hi!
The topic I'm about to share is on B-G-R. I believe most of us known this term as "Boys & Girls Relationship". And I also believe that there are few churches or communities group whom ever share/discuss about this topic. It is quite a well known seminar held between the churches, especially in youth ministries.

BGR - Indeed it stands for Boys & Girls Relationship. Most of youngster nowadays easily fall into temptations and easily get influenced by most of the negative acts. Even those who always seen in the church did the same thing. I'm not literally pointing any, but please agree with me that it really happens. Youngsters are the one that we really need to focus more, cos they are moving towards adulthood. It is common to hear they started to do cigarette, do drugs, some may started to steal, escape from school, etc.. or worst, they might commit adultery. If you think that it is "common", you are so wrong. When you know it happens, it is time for you to do something; not by spreading up the gossip around for sure. These youngster need help.
